If you only want to just collect addresses or e-mail addresses from people by using a web site or a single Web page, then this is the way you should go. Basically, a squeeze page is a web page where you entice somebody to give them your e-mail address or even your regular physical address or other contact information. Now, if you have gone on the Internet surfing for more than five minutes, then you have more than likely encountered a squeeze page. Very simply, somebody is searching around on the Internet for an opportunity or some information on Internet marketing or multilevel marketing businesses and they come across an article that you wrote on another web site or a web page or a forum post, etc. (We will talk about writing articles in getting them published all over the Internet later on in this course) and you provided the link to your web page. The person that goes to your web page and it looks something like this:
You will have a full, long page of ad copy (advertisement copy) were you'll tell your prospect all of the wonderful things that your company can do for them and briefly explaining your business opportunity or advantage. You will then have a section where people can sign up for a free report by giving you their email address at the opt-in box. Once the person fills in their e-mail address you'll have a program that you can actually get for free online, that will send them the report automatically as soon as they fill in the field where their e-mail address goes. The program that does this is called an auto responder. You can get auto responders on the Internet for free; as a matter of fact you will be able to find a free auto responder in my resource section at the end of this report. Here is an example of what could be written over your box where people will fill in their e-mail addresses. By the way, the box that people will fill out their information in his called an Opt-In Box. Here is an examle of an Opt-In Box:

After the person has filled out their contact information, whether it is just an e-mail address that you want to collect or their phone numbers and home addresses. The auto responder will send the person to the next web page where they can get the information that you told them they would get if they gave use their contact information, or it will send them a free report to their email address.
On reflection of the example that I just used for a squeeze page I found that this page could have been designed a little better. There is one small mistake and that is the Opt-in box below what is called the “fold” of the web page. The fold is the top half of the page that you see as soon as you access a site. I would recommend that the Opt-in box be above the fold on the top half of the page like so:
Notice that the Opt-in Box has been moved up above the fold so that you can see it as soon as you go onto the site. I also like the fact that the girl is pointing at the box now. On the original the young lady was pointing to small text which in the mind of the audience may have been distracting from the message.
